The Coalition of Partnerships for UHC and Global Health (the Coalition) will host a high-level webinar ahead of the SDG Summit and high-level meetings on pandemic prevention, preparedness and response, universal health coverage (UHC), and tuberculosis that will take place at the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in September 2023. This webinar is meant to rally countries to commit to ambitious, equitable, and people-centered actions and to encourage coherence, drive momentum and engage the highest level of decision-makers. The high-level meetings and the political declarations are opportunities for countries to make commitments on how they will achieve health for all, during crisis and calm and the wider 2030 Agenda. These meetings are a unique opportunity to have health placed on the highest agenda and for leaders to champion health at the highest political level.

The webinar will focus on the need for countries to prioritize equity and make actionable commitments during the political declaration negotiations and ensure coherence across all political declarations. It will also build momentum towards the high-level meeting on universal health coverage and the need for countries to mobilize their highest levels of political leadership for the high-level meetings on health.
