Universal Health Coverage Day 2022
12 December 2022 | Build the World We Want: A Healthy Future for All
In the world we want, all people can access quality health services without financial hardship. Universal health coverage (UHC) lifts people out of poverty, promotes the well-being of families and communities, protects against public health crises, and moves us toward #HealthForAll.

Country Profiles – UHC Data Portal
UHC2030 updated the UHC Data Portal to add new country profiles (progress dashboard) based on the State of UHC Commitment review in 2021 and 2022, which provides data sets and data visualization on health systems and the state of UHC commitment in 139 countries.

Civil Society Perspectives on Reaching Universal Health Coverage
In 2021 and 2022, the CSEM and partners led 37 civil society consultations as part of the multi-stakeholder State of the UHC Commitment Review. The consultations captured stories, experiences and perspectives of civil society and communities that show the real progress made toward UHC on the ground.
Participants highlighted recommendations for policy and advocacy actions that must be accelerated to close the gaps and achieve UHC. In the lead-up to the 2023 United Nations High-Level Meeting (HLM) on UHC, these recommendations will shape our joint strategy to hold leaders accountable and call for a renewed, refocused attention to achieve health for all.
In 2022, focus groups were held in: Argentina, Botswana, Cameroon, Dominica, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Ghana, Italy, Jordan, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Philippines, Senegal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Uruguay. Learn more.
