The Future of Health Rights – People’s Vaccine Alliance

Led by expert speakers in the health field, this event aims to challenge the notion that the private sector alone can resolve the challenges that underfunded and underresourced global health systems face. It seeks to rally people behind a comprehensive and ambitious set of policy proposals concerning access to medicines and universal health coverage, and to foster inclusive discussions spanning pharmaceutical company monopolies, the commercialization of healthcare, and what different models exist for equity in health rights.
This year’s UN General Assembly provides a context to spotlight how – at this critical juncture – the world remains off course from achieving UHC by 2030. Civil society must mobilize to ensure the slogan “never again” manifests in more than words.
