Tara Brace-John
Senior Health and Policy Advisor, Save the Children
Tara is a Senior Advisor in Save the Children’s Health Policy and Advocacy Team, where she leads the work on health governance and social accountability for UHC. She is responsible for identifying, supporting, and delivering research, policy analysis and targeted advocacy in this area. She also manages the team’s work with country offices on UHC advocacy and coordinates all technical support which is required by country offices and partners.
Prior to joining Save the Children, she worked in the UK for five years on governance and inclusion with One World Action and Dalit Solidarity Network UK.
Before she came to the UK, she worked in southern India for 12 years with the Dalit community on issues of economic, social, and political exclusion, and the impact in the lives of Dalit women, youth, and children. Her work was at the grassroots level and a large part of it focused on the health issues of Dalit women and children.
