Health Programme Manager, Africa and Community Health Advisor, Christian Aid

Rachel Ndirangu is a Community Health and Development specialist with over 12 years’ experience in programming, policy and advocacy in community health and systems strengthening.  Rachel’s expertise includes strategic leadership, programme development and fundraising, networking, advocacy in the areas Reproductive, Maternal and Child health, HIV & AIDS, and Nutrition, with a strong focus on gender and inclusion integration.

Rachel currently works as Health Programme Manager- Africa and Community Health Advisor with Christian Aid, an International Development and Humanitarian Organisation delivering health work in 8 countries in Africa. Prior to that, Rachel worked with, AMREF health Africa- through a University of Nairobi placement, Kenya Aids NGOs Consortium (KANCO) and KEMRI/US Army-Walter Reed. She is driven by the desire to contribute to sustainable improvements in the resilience and wellbeing of people in developing countries through transformative and innovative development programming.

Rachel hold a Post Graduate Fellowship in Public Health Leadership and Management from the University of Nairobi  and a Master’s degree in Community Health and Development for the Great Lakes University of Kisumu.
