UHC2030 and CSEM for UHC2030 will be launching a social media campaign aimed at building momentum around the draft resolution on ?Strengthening health financing globally?– set to be considered by Member States at the 78th World Health Assembly (WHA).

Alongside quote cards for member states committed to strengthening health financing for sustainable progress towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC), we are gathering Civil Society quotes to spotlight CSO voices on this critical agenda.

About the Campaign

The campaign will run on social media in the lead up, and during, the WHA. It aims to raise the visibility of those voices who are championing, implementing, and strengthening strategic approaches to health financing. The goal is to inspire countries to take action towards achieving UHC through sustainable and impactful investments in health.

De-prioritization of health in government spending has dire consequences in a context where 4.5 billion people worldwide lack access to basic health services and 2 billion people face financial hardship due to health costs. To reverse current trends which are taking us further away from the 2030 targets, more attention must be dedicated to sustainable health financing to achieve UHC in every country and tackle causes of poor financial protection. This is particularly important for improving access to healthcare services without financial hardship for the most vulnerable, who are already struggling to meet other basic needs such as food, shelter, and education.

How to get involved and raise your voice !

1) Prepare your quote

Prepare your anwer to one of the following questions: answer one of the following questions (280 characters or less):

  1. Why is health financing/ the resolution on ?Strengthening health financing globally? important for your country?
    Or;
  2. Why/how are you championing health financing for sustainable progress towards Universal Health Coverage?

 

2) Create your quote cards

Please find the quote card template on Canva [here] or in PowerPoint [here]. To personalize, simply add your quote, photo, name, and title. Kindly duplicate the template before creating your own to ensure it remains available to everyone.

For consistency, we ask that you maintain the same layout and structure across all quote cards (but please feel free to include your logo). Additionally, please use the same hashtags (#WHA78, #HealthForAll) so we can easily follow and amplify the messages.

 

3) Post on social media

Almost there ! Kindly post on your social media (Bluesky, X, LInkedIN) and identify CSEM account to ensure amplication/ reposting on our side.
