Anna Koshikova

Executive Director, Eurasian Movement for the Right to Health in Prisons

Anna Koshikova is the Executive Director at the Eurasian Movement for the Right to Health in Prisons, a regional community-led network established and governed by people with lived experience of imprisonment, working to advance the inclusion of prison health issues at all levels of decision-making. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and has over 20 years of professional experience in the HIV field and public health.

Anna has led major national and regional initiatives, including the introduction of large-scale antiretroviral therapy (ART) programs in prisons and the launch of the nationwide HIV medical information system in Ukraine. Her areas of expertise include community-based HIV service delivery, health policy advocacy, program design and management, monitoring and evaluation, and health systems strengthening.

She has strong experience in facilitating dialogue and collaboration among community representatives, national governments, and international partners to advance inclusive and evidence-based health policies. As a member of the Civil Society Engagement Mechanism Advisory Group for UHC2030, she aims to contribute her regional experience and practical expertise to global health discussions on universal health coverage and health equity, and to bring greater attention to prison health issues within international policy dialogue.
